Steps runaway hit of last season is back for three, special performances. Godspell, one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time, received critical raves at STEPS OFF BROADWAY in Bellingham. Back for a limited run, this colorful, explosively energetic and dazzling new production, directed by acclaimed theatre director, Michael La Fleur (Celine Dion, Disney, Universal), Godspell is a joyous retelling of the Gospel According to St. Matthew. Performed by a rag-a-muffin troupe of 10 remarkably talented performers, using every theatrical style they can muster, this spectacular musical features a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, the composer of Wicked and Pippin, boasting a string of recognizable songs, led by the international hit, "Day By Day."

Based on passages found in The Gospel According to St. Matthew, the timeless parables come to life in a vibrantly hilarious production with toe-tapping song and dance, and a deeply moving story. Godspell is one of the most ubiquitous shows in theater history, and has been playing to sellout crowds around the world. In STEPS new production, director La Fleur gives us a fresh staging with contemporary references and some very clever updating. La Fleur has staged Godspell numerous times around the country, and each production has been a huge success. The uber talented cast includes local favorites; Brendan Duquette (North Attleboro, Ma), Aubrie Bagdasarian (Bellingham, Ma), Corey Cadigan (West Bridgewater, Ma), Stephanie Crugnola (Franklin, Ma), Alexandra Dutremble (Bellingham, Ma), Nicholas Landmesser (Milton, Ma), Ryan Leverone (Uxbridge, Ma), Meg Lowey (Foxboro, Ma), Maria Norris (North Attleboro, Ma) and Ron Vorce (Marlboro, Ma).
