Photo Flash: Stewart F. Lane Hosts Boston University Showcase 2015 at New World Stages

Stewart F. Lane, a six time Tony Award winner and Olivier winning producer, hosted the Boston University Showcase 2015 in New York City. Lane is a Boston University BFA alum and a recipient of the Boston University Distinguished Alumni Award for his achievements in the Broadway and worldwide theatrical community. Lane kicked off the celebration of the students' accomplishments with a reception at Remi Restaurant on Sunday March 8th which included BU alum: David Garrison, Sara Chase, Ellen Harvey, Greg Hildreth, Elena Heyman, Todd Rosen, friends and supporters of Boston University; David & Sylvia Steiner (owners of Steiner Studios), Barbara O'Dwyer Lopez (Executive Director of The Theater at St. Jean's), and Boston University's Dean Benjamin Juarez, Jim Petosa, Stephanie Trodello, Paola Difabio, Michael Kaye, and Liz Mazar Phillips.

On Monday, March 9th at New World Stages, Lane served as the master of ceremonies for the group's formal introduction to the professional theatre industry. The Showcase event featured performances and exhibits from the School of Theatre's 2015 graduates. The New York Theatre Showcase is made possible annually, by the Jonathan M. Scharer Fund for Career Development in Theatre Arts, through the generosity of Seymore and Vivian Scharer, and the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Fund for Career Development.

The Boston University Showcase 2015 students included: Kaylyn Bancroft, Jenna Bilgore, Amelia Cain, Caleb Cedrone, Michael John Ciszewski, Ally Dawson, Maria DeCotis, Laura Detwiler, Mackenzie Devlin, Ben Ducoff, Ivy Elwell, Ana Gencarelli, Griffin Griggs, Caroline Hoenemeyer, Kelsie Hogue, Ellen Humphreys, Haley Jakobson, Allie Kauffmann, Teresa Langford, Leah McLoughlin, Grant Meacham, Sarah Oakes Muirhead, Jake Murphy, Maggie O'Brien-Pappalardo, Tricia O'Toole, Matisse Rose, Nik Sadhnani, Kaela Shaw, Annabel Steven, Spencer Parli Tew, Maria Timonina, Matthew Welch, Jae Woo, Grace Woodford, and Kathryn Zahorak.
