Orfeo Group Presents Free ?Orfeo Fest in the Park? 7/26, Begins Day With Kids4Kids Performance
Orfeo Group, is presenting a full day of FREE, family programming at Christian Herter Park on Sunday July 26th beginning at 10 AM. The day starts with a Kids4Kids performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream and includes musical performances by Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band (12PM) and singer-songwriter Thea Hendricks (6PM) as well as dance performances by friends of Monkeyhouse (2PM).
Finally, Orfeo Group is thrilled to present Bill Barclay's illuminating, celebratory event:
THE MUSIC OF THE SPHERES (4PM). This brilliant presentation features live music, performance and perspective on Elizabethan culture, Shakespeare and music. This presentation was recently performed at Shakespeare and Company and received a fantastic response.
All this will be performed in addition to Orfeo's critically acclaimed production of the Complete WOWS(a)! This is a day of performing arts not to be missed--we hope to see you there!
"It's an exercise in community building," says Orfeo member Risher Reddick. "The show will be presented outdoors under natural light with food, drink and a vibrant social atmosphere."
