NYC's Hip Hop Improv Comedy Team North Coast to Perform at ImprovBoston

Named one of the "Top Ten Best Comedy Shows" by Time Out New York, New York City's premier hip hop improv comedy team North Coast seamlessly melds comedic timing with high-energy, freestyle rapping. They'll bring their "comedy show meets concert" to ImprovBoston on April 2nd.

Built around single suggestions from audience members, North Coast's improvised scenes escalate into full-blown, freestyle hip-hop songs, accompanied by Beatboxer Mark Martin, the 2016 American Beatbox Champ. Drawing audiences from the comedy, hip-hop, and theater communities, the team creates an experience hailed as "mind-blowing" and "next level" by critics and comedy venue, college, and festival audiences nationwide since 2009.

"North Coast is hands down one of the most energetic and jaw-droppingly spectacular comedy acts in the Northeast. Nobody does improvised hip hop better than this crew, and no audience can forget their first North Coast experience," shares ImprovBoston Lead Producer Mac Gostow.

North Coast has been featured on VH1, in Slate's Podcast The Gist, The Village Voice, and The New York Times Comedy Listings and performed at Upright Citizens Brigade, The Magnet Theater, The PIT, and ImprovBoston. They perform every Saturday night in New York City at The Peoples Improv Theater.
