At the height of the Cold War, an American and Russian grandmaster face off in a battle for international chess supremacy. When the Russian falls in love with the American's chess second, intense rivalry and East-West political intrigue begin to unfold. From Tyrol to Thailand, the players, lovers, politicians, and spies make their moves to the pulse of an incredible rock score. Featuring hits such as "One Night in Bangkok", "I Know Him So Well", and "Anthem", Chess promises to be a not to be missed theatrical experience.

Formed on 29 February 1988, the MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players is a volunteer group of students and non-students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA) that performs the works of Sir William S. Gilbert and/or Sir Arthur Sullivan. MITG&SP occasionally performs other works, usually with some connection to Gilbert and Sullivan or the Victorian era.
