By:

The Little Theatre of Fall River, Inc. will conclude auditions April 7 for their upcoming production of Other People's Money at 7pm at the Firebarn Theatre.

Corporate raider Lawrence Garfield, a.k.a. "Larry the Liquidator", always looking for the next big score, puts his sights on New England Wire and Cable, a publicly traded company that is run by old codger Andrew "Jorgy" Jorgenson and is a major employer in a small town. Trying to stave off the takeover, Jorgy hires Kate, his stepdaughter, to stall Larry. Before long, Larry becomes involved in a complicated game of cat-and-mouse in which he and Kate each struggle to maintain the upper hand.

Characters:
Lawrence Garfinkle - 30-50 - a New York corporate raider who intends to plunder the assets of New England Wire and Cable company and shut it down.
Andrew Jorgenson -- 50-65 - the Wire and Cable patriarch who believes in doing business the old fashioned way.
William Coles - 30-50 - Jorgenson's managerial sidekick.
Kate Sullivan - 30-40 - an attractive attorney who specializes in fending off takeovers.
Bea - 50-60 - the ever-faithful office secretary and romantic confidant to Jorgenson.
Synopsis: Other People's Money is a tale of greed, unadulterated and unscrupulous. Larry the Liquidator, a Wall Street shark, has determined to "swallow" the small but stable and, heretofore, profitable New England Wire and Cable Company, located in Providence, RI. But as he learns, it will not be that easy!

Other People's Money opens June 17 at the Firebarn Theatre, where it will run until June 27. The Firebarn Theatre is located at corner of Prospect Street and Highland Avenue in Fall River, MA.
