ImprovBoston to Present THE IMPROVISED HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR This December
ImprovBoston's The Improvised Holiday Spectacular gives audiences the best gift of the season: gut-busting comedy not for the faint of heart.
Every Friday through December 30 (plus special added performances), ImprovBoston's elite improvisers, the National Touring Company, unwrap the funny for a seasonal showcase featuring not-your-typical holiday fare: irreverent improvised games, off-the-cuff songs, and raucously spontaneous scenes. The Improvised Holiday Spectacular blows up the traditional feel-good, warm and cuddly holiday show to embrace seasonal absurdity with unfiltered, blunt wit and adult revelry.
"This fast-paced, interactive comedy show will create lasting memories for you and yours while ringing in the holiday season with edgy, in-your-face laughs" says ImprovBoston Artistic Director Mike Descoteaux. Theater-goers tired of the same old holiday entertainment will rejoice in a seasonal send-up the likes of which has never been seen before and will never be seen again (because it's improvised).
ImprovBoston's The Improvised Holiday Spectacular runs every Friday at 10PM through December 30 (plus special added performances). Tickets are $18 and available online at ImprovBoston.com.
For over 30 years, ImprovBoston has been New England's leading theater and school dedicated to the art of comedy in all its forms. Voted "Best of Boston" by The Phoenix, The Improper Bostonian, and The Weekly Dig, ImprovBoston performers, teachers and students have included film stars, Emmy Award-winning comedians, and acclaimed producers, directors, musicians and writers. ImprovBoston alumni are featured on Conan, Late Night with Stephen Colbert, The Daily Show, America's Got Talent, Funniest Wins, Playboy, Last Comic Standing and John Oliver's Last Week Tonight, to name a few.
