Greg Watanabe Stars in Massachusetts Premiere of HOLD THESE TRUTHS

The forced relocation of Japanese-Americans into internment camps through executive action by the President during World War II remains one of the most flagrant violations of civil liberties in American history. New Century Theatre just opened HOLD THESE TRUTHS by Jeanne Sakata, the acclaimed one-man show that tells the miraculous story of Gordon Hirabayashi, one of a handful of Japanese Americans who resisted the order to relocate and was sent to jail. His case ultimately landed in the supreme court.
Broadway actor Greg Watanabe (ALLIGIANCE) stars in this Massachusetts premiere production and opened to rave reviews. Chris Rohmann, of the VALLEY ADVOCATE said, "Hold These Truths, playing this week and next at New Century Theatre, is probably the most important play of the summer, with certainly the season's most exhilarating single performance."
For information and tickets, visit www.newcenturytheatre.org or call 413-587-3933. The production closes August 5.
