From the acclaimed composer/writer of Three Pianos, Beowulf, and the upcoming Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, comes a song cycle about love, death, and whiskey. In this limited engagement, a camera breaks and four friends drink in an interwoven tale spanning seven centuries, with a murderous sister, a tree-house astronomer, a bear, a subway, and the ghost of Thelonious Monk. The New York Times calls Ghost Quartet "a rapturous little show that asks the musical question: "If you could be any kind of dead person, what kind of dead person would you be?"

THE MOTH

Usual Suspect

Presented by The Moth

Tuesday, September 15 at 8:00PM

Tuesday, October 20 at 8:00PM

The Moth StorySLAMs are steadily spreading all over the map, gathering people and stories from all over the country. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston have multiple shows each month. The Moth is open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night's posted theme. The brave of heart, or those with stories they're aching to tell, prepare personal, true tales. When the doors open, storyteller hopefuls put their names in The Moth Hat. A half hour later, names are picked, and one by one, storytellers take the stage. Each person has just five minutes. The ten featured stories are scored by teams of judges selected from the audience. Each StorySLAM generates a StorySLAM winner. After ten SLAMs, the winners face off in the GrandSLAM Championships.

THE CHIMERA

Presented by Endation and Allix Mortis

Thursday, September 17 at 8pm

Tickets $15-30

The Chimera explores musical and artistic dichotomies. Act I features the raw, intense, melodic force of two-piece Endation accompanied by movement and dance. Act II brings the audience into the dreamy, experimental world of Bent Knee as visual artists create pieces inspired by the band in real time. The Chimera invites the audience to seek their own interpretations in the disparate pieces that form one singular evening of performance.
