Open auditions will be held at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Rte. 28 in Cotuit on December 5 and December 6 at 7:30 p.m. for the Off-Broadway hit, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. This unique musical revue is a theatrical tribute to the work of Jacques Brel, who "wrung himself dry" with every performance. Director Kiley Donovan and musical director Geraldine Boles seek dynamic performers for this production which will be a phenomenal showcase for the right cast, and will transport the audience to a 1960s Paris nightclub. Auditioners are asked to please bring a prepared piece that shows off your ability to both sing and act the song. They may be asked to try the song in several different styles, and to harmonize with another singer. There will be a short cold reading, including one or two phrases in French (though knowledge of the French language is NOT required for this show!). Call backs will be held on December 7 at 7:30 p.m. and will consist of a dance audition and sight reading from the vocal score. Performance dates are slated for February 2-18, 2011. For more information, please call Daniel Fontneau at 508-428-0669 or visit www.ArtsOnTheCape.org.

"A kaleidoscope of musical experiences which covers all the human emotions and more. This revue of the art of Jacques Brel brings to the stage his life expressed through his words and music. Stimulating and heartfelt, more than a musical, a super musical. "
