Cape Rep Announces SIDE MAN For 2010 25th Anniversary Season 10/17

Cape Rep Theatre will continue its 25th Anniversary Season on September 16 with Warren Leight's Side Man. Victoria E. Flores will direct. Performances will continue for 5 weeks through October 17. Performances take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 2pm on Sunday. There will be an additional performance on Wednesday, October 6 at 7pm. Tickets are currently available as part of a 3 play subscription. Individual tickets are also now on sale. Tickets are $25. Side Man premiered in New York in 1998, it went on to win the Tony Award for Best Play.
Clifford Glimmer tells the story of his father, Gene, and his fellow "side men" - musicians' musicians, versatile trumpet and horn players who could jam with the greats, blow you away with their solos and lived for "the gig," no matter what was sacrificed. Experience the rise and decline of New York jazz through an intimate look at the men who lived the music.

Ethan Paulini will lead the cast as Clifford. The cast will also include Rob Anderson, Janet Constable Preston, Holly Erin McCarthy, David C. Wallace, Robert Bock and Michael Weber.
The design team includes set by Ryan McGettigan, lighting by Christopher Ostrom, costumes by Robin McLaughlin, props by Mary Fritz. J. Jumbelic will provide sound design.

The critically acclaimed Eurydice opened a season that continued with Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and the 25th Anniversary Revival of The Wizard of Oz. The season will conclude in November and December with the Broadway Musical Comedy Smash The Drowsy Chaperone. Cape Rep is currently offerring it's annual Children's programming in the Cape's only Outdoor Theatre. Mary Wilson's Pitter, Patter, Puppets and How I Became a Pirate will run through September 2. Cape Rep is also partnering with the Sea Pines Inn for the 16th Annual Broadway Musical Dinner Revue through September 5.
