Cape Playhouse Kicks Off Season with TEA AT FIVE, 6/7

By:

The Cape Playhouse has announced upcoming events including a special Cape Cinema screening of George Cukor's 1941 Oscar-winning classic romantic comedy starring Katharine Hepburn, "The Philadelphia Story."

This one-time screening of this film, on Sunday, June 6 at 4:00pm, is in celebration of the June 7th opening of the 2010 Cape Playhouse Season with TEA AT FIVE, a one-woman show by Matthew Lombardo based on Katharine Hepburn's life, starring Stephanie Zimbalist. The screening is a benefit for Cape Playhouse ~ CCCArts.

TEA AT FIVE will run from June 7 through June 19. In an afternoon spent in her beloved Fenwick home, filled with laughter and joy, Ms. Hepburn (Stephanie Zimbalist) reflects on a life filled with stories of dizzying heights, adventures in show business, how the "Philadelphia Story" came to be, romance with Spencer Tracy, and four Oscars!

With a book by Matthew Lombardo, TEA AT FIVE will star Stephanie Zimbalist with set design by Neil Prince, costumes by Marci Frolic, and direction by Jenny Sullivan.
