Broadway's ALADDIN, Telly Leung, Debuts at Provincetown's Crown & Anchor
Producer Rick Murray welcomes Broadway's current Aladdin, Telly Leung, to Provincetown for one performance only, Sunday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Paramount Theatre at The Crown & Anchor. Accompanied by acclaimed music director Gary Adler (Alter Boyz, Avenue Q) and violist J. J. Johnson, Telly will take you on a musical carpet ride through his life and Broadway career in this evening of great music, personal stories, and backstage anecdotes.
The event is part of the star-studded lineup of the 2018 Crown & Anchor Cabaret Series. Tickets are now on sale for the Series, which takes place this summer in Provincetown, MA at The Crown & Anchor's Paramount Theatre, Cabaret Room, and Town Hall Auditorium.
Telly Leung is currently starring in Disney's Aladdin on Broadway as the title role. Broadway & national touring credits include In Transit, Allegiance (with George Takei & Lea Salonga), Godspell, Rent (final Broadway company), Wicked (Boq, original Chicago company), Pacific Overtures, and Flower Drum Song. In 2010, he starred as Angel in RENT at the Hollywood Bowl opposite Wayne Brady, directed by Neil Patrick Harris. Television audiences will remember him as Wes the Warbler on "Glee" as well as his guest star appearances on "Instinct," "Odd Mom Out," "Deadbeat," and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." Telly is featured on many original Broadway cast recordings and he has released two solo albums - I'll Cover You (2012) and Songs for You (2016) on The Yellow Sound Label.
