Now in its fourth year, YCI consists of a reading and recording session of music by six young composers selected from local institutions. During the session, the composers will introduce their works and have them rehearsed and recorded by the superb musicians of the BPYO, led by Conducting Fellow Kristo Kondakci.

A distinguished panel, consisting of composition faculty from the participating institutions as well active composers from the area, will take notes and participate during the session, after which we will convene a roundtable discussion with the panel and the selected young composers.

2017 YOUNG COMPOSERS:

Auburn Lee (Harvard University)
Francesca Hellerman (Walden School)
Matt Monaco (New England Conservatory)
Elijah Smith (Boston Conservatory)
Kelsey Rogers (Berklee College of Music)
Peter Fletcher (Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra)
