Chester Theatre Company Announces 2016 - 2017 Theatre Tours

Chester Theatre Company announces two unique travel experiences for theatre lovers: The 2016 Theatre Tour to Chicago,October 18-23, 2016, and the 2017 Theatre Tour to London, March 11-19.

Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer leads the tours. "Years of experience have helped us find the optimum balance between structured and free time," he said. "We see amazing plays, but we don't schedule people's every minute. We give them time to explore these exciting cities on their own between productions and lively TalkBacks."

Of the TalkBacks, Kramer added, "Previous tour participants tell us the TalkBacks make the trip truly memorable, helping them gain insight into the craft of theatre and changing their theatre-going experience forever."

Highlights of the Chicago trip include:
• Six days and five nights in Chicago
• Nonstop flight from Western Massachusetts
• Accommodations at the Hotel Monarch, an award-winning four-star hotel
• Welcome banquet
• Daily full breakfast
• Four theatre performances at top Chicago theatres
• Daily Talkbacks with Daniel Elihu Kramer
• Chicago Transit pass
• A Talk with Steve Oxman, Variety Magazine's Chicago theatre critic

The cost for the trip with land and air is $2,800 per person, double occupancy. The land-only cost is $2,400-per person. Sign-ups close the end of August.

Included in the London trip are:
• Eight days and seven nights in London
• All connections from Western Massachusetts
• Nonstop Flights
• Accommodations at the Millenium Gloucester Hotel
• Welcome banquet
• Daily hot breakfast
• Five London theatre performances
• Daily Talkbacks with Daniel Elihu Kramer
• A Talk with Matt Wolf, Theatre Critic for the International New York Times
• Transport Pass for central London Underground and Buses

The land-and-air cost for the London tour is $4,150 per person, double occupancy; the land-only price is $3,150 per person.

A $500 non-refundable deposit, per person, is required to reserve space on either tour. Reservations are taken on a first-come first-served basis and people are encouraged to reserve space quickly, as previous trips have sold out.
