Review: GOLDEN GIRLS CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA at Alley Repertory Theater Image

Are you looking for a fun filled evening of music, comedy and the Golden Girls?! Look no further than Alley Repertory Theater's GOLDEN GIRLS CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA.

Co-directors Joe Golden and Justin Ness lead a gaggle of "girls" in two parodies of classic Christmas episodes from the Golden Girls tv series. Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia are fantastically portrayed by Boise's best: Minerva Jayne, Jodi Eichelberger, Steven Santos and Steven Lanzet. They capture the dialect and mannerisms of the fabulous four and take it all to the next level.

Alongside the Girls, playing multiple roles, are Taylor Hawker, Kelly Lynae Robinson, Hailee Lenhart-Wees and Noah Moody. Not only are they fabulous but they keep you laughing in the episodes, sketches and commercials.

Prior to the show and during intermission, we are entertained by Music Director, Anthony Parry on the piano and local musicians. These musicians are part of the Idaho Ho Ho Album that raises money for the Women and Children's Alliance. These musicians will rotate per show and their album is for sale at the venue.

I don't want to tell you more. I wouldn't be able to give it justice. This is definitely a don't miss show! Really, go get your tickets right now, as this show will sell out fast! However, this is a 21 and up venue and show. So no one under 21 will be admitted. Adult language and content.

Tickets are $20 General Admission, $15 Students/Seniors/Military, Matinee $15, Brunch $35. Yes BRUNCH! December 10th you can see the show and have brunch with the Girls!
