I just returned from seeing Driving Miss Daisy at Casa Manana Theater and it was an outstanding production.
But on to the new news.
The theater producer announced before the show that Casa Manana is doing away with its Winter and Summer seasons and will now have one year-long season starting with Fall 2009.
The shows for the first season are:
Five Guys Named Moe - Oct 20-25, Bass Performance Hall
Sweeney Todd - Nov 10-15, Casa Manana Theater
Riverdance (not part of season but available as an add-on) - Dec 1-6, Bass Performance Hall
The Color Purple - Jan 26-31, Bass Performance Hall
Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story - Feb 9-14, Casa Manana Theater
Topol in Fiddler on the Roof - Mar 9-14, Bass Performance Hall
Little House on the Prairie - Jun 8-13, Bass Performance Hall
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Jul 23-29, Bass Performance Hall

I know this is so sad, but I'm VERY excited for Little House on the Prairie. 
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Oh yes! I am so auditioning for Sweeney Todd!
I say it is mostly a solid season!
