Jose it's hard to answer that question. Those who have heard the recordings of Piazza have bootlegs. The recording doesn't come out until tues.

Jazzy: Most of us who have been discussing Piazza on this thread do not have bootlegs, we know the score because we have seen the show!

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

"Guettel. Brown. LaChiusa. Gordon. Tesori. We need more from these composers. They are maintaining the artistic integrity of musical theatre."

Now if only their 'artistry integrity' would allow them to communicate with audiences.

Interesting, they communicate with an awful lot of audience members. Lots of people are touched by Last 5 years, Marie Christine, and Light. They do plenty of communicating. It's the subject matter that I think people hesitate to give over to. That and an angular use of harmony.

Penguin, that was a response to jose's question about judging the two shows from the recordings.

I can certainly agree that LITP is a musical -- a chamber musical, if you will. A beautiful musical -- I left that musical with tears in my eyes. And I don't cry -- ever. So that was a big deal.
