I watched the first episode of Season 5 last night. I know it's not all true, but I watch it just for entertainment. Besides,I needed a break from the election coverage.
Feel free to discuss it with me here. My BFF likes it too,but she's waaay behind.
I watched S5 E1 today. Thought it was just OK. I think Charles and Diana were woefully miscast, The Queen and Prince better cast. The episode itself was blah. I’m not anxious to watch the whole season this time around as I have been the past four seasons.
I've watched just the first episode too, and don't feel in much of a hurry to watch more. Boring. The only moments of interest were pure fiction, like Charles plotting to get his mother to abdicate. Or Harry as a child sticking up for his mother. Even the mention of Ukraine on the radio was annoying. I'll keep watching, but I miss Olivia Colman and Gillian Anderson.

Sorry, but casting Dominic West as then-Prince Charles is like casting Brad Pitt as Mitch McConnell.

Am I supposed to care about Philip's carriage obsession? I'm not even sure who Natasha McElhone plays. Diana's sister? Poor Leonora, I am very sorry for her, but I'm not too comfortable with her death being used for my entertainment.
