Charles' play SWIMMING AT THE RITZ has started a Spring tour. Upcoming stops are Greenwich Theatre, Greenwich, 30-31 March and the Mill Studio/Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, 1-2 April.

Felicity Dean and Jos Vantyler star in this two-hander about Pamela Churchill Harriman, Sir Winston Churchill's daughter-in-law. Born Pamela Beryl Digby in Hampshire, this English-born socialite who grew up at the ancestral home, Minterne Magna in Dorset, met and had tea with Adolph Hitler, married Randolph Churchill, Broadway producer Leland Haywood, and Averrell Harriman, the politician, businessman and diplomat, in addition to having numerous affairs with a number of rich and powerful men of her generation. She was named by President Bill Clinton as Ambassador to France in 1993, and was known in some circles as the greatest courtesan of the Twentieth Century.

Pamela is holed up at the Paris Ritz with just the valet, Pietro, to aid her.
