What are your favorite Broadway posters/window cards of all time? Some of mine include: ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY SWEENEY TODD A CHORUS LINE THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS FOLLIES
South Pacific On the Twentieth Century My Fair Lady (original) Crazy For You (original) A Little Night Music (original) Follies (original) She Loves Me (1993 NY revival) Show Boat (1993 revival) Sweeney Todd (original) Wonderful Town (the new art)
they have versions welcoming other shows too -wicked, boy from oz, never gonna dance, taboo, bombay dreams, and carolie or change - see the link below - (you have to scroll almost all the way down for the first four) "avenue q spoofs the competition"
From my collection, my The Invention of Love window card and my complete cast signed '99 Iceman Cometh.
"SUNY Binghamton, yes. I'm sure getting a degree from SUNY Binghamton is very useful. Normally to get a degree with that kind of credibility you'd have to study in Guatemala or Haiti."
I loved the Taboo artwork. All 4 of them. I also seem to like posters that you can recall the history about the show. Thats why posters for Carrie, Urban Cowboy, etc... are fun. I also have a giant Dance Of The Vampires poster that was only given to the cast that Ron Orbach gave to me. (I think they actually sell these now at Triton.)
I think however, my most favorite has to be Amour. It is just so beautiful.
My favorite would have to be the revival of FOLLIES from a few years ago. The artwork was just beautiful!
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
