Songbird Michelle Malone will perform with fellow musician and Alabama native Will Kimbrough when the Decatur Acoustic Concert Series returns to the Magnolia room August 26, 2011.
The monthly series begins at 7 p.m. and is held at Decatur's Magnolia Room, 216 Moulton St. There's a $20 suggested donation and reservations are also strongly urged.
As the curator of the monthly series, Malone will open the show followed by Kimbrough, an award-winning guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, performer and bandleader from the Alabama Gulf Coast. Like Malone, Kimbrough is a critically-acclaimed musician who has collaborated with some of music's greats, including Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Rosanne Cash, Mark Knopfler, John Prine and Todd Snider.
