La Septième symphonie de Beethoven, que d'aucuns décrivent comme « l'apothéose de la danse », fut une source d'inspiration évidente pour le concerto pour violoncelle Climbing - Dancing que Bernard Foccroulle, ancien directeur de la Monnaie, a écrit en hommage à la chorégraphe Trisha Brown.
