Kimberly Akimbo is the 2023 Tony Award-winning musical with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, directed by Ethan Heard. Set on a Saturday night at a skating rink in Bergen County, NJ, the story follows 16-year-old Kimberly Levaco, who has a rare disease that causes her to age at four times the normal rate. She navigates typical teenage desires for love, family, and adventure alongside her misfit friends, while the arrival of her felonious Aunt Debra presents an unexpected opportunity. The musical won Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score.
