Strand Theater Announces Six Staged Readings of Works by Members of the Playwrights Group of Baltimore

With funding from the Station North Arts and Entertainment District Second Saturdays, the Strand Theater Company will produce an evening of staged readings of six 10-minute plays written by members of the Playwrights Group of Baltimore and performed by local actors on Saturday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis; donations are accepted.

Each play will center on the theme of Skin in the Game subject to interpretation by each playwright. Participating playwrights are John Conley, S.J., Dwight R.B. Cook, Peter Ray Davis, Brent Englar, Ken Greller and LaRonika Thomas. A talk-back session with the playwrights will follow the readings.

The 50-seat Strand Theater is located at 1823 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.
