Maryland Ensemble Theatre Announces Jiggy's Summer Improv Weekend

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present a chance to escape the heat and join us for 2 evenings of Improv Comedy by some of the funniest people around! MET's own James "Jiggy" McGarvey hosts a weekend of slammin', jammin' improv comedy.
Jiggy invites local & regional improvisers to the stage for an all out improv jam-fest. The stage will be filled w/ Comedy Pigs, TES Improv Students, Actors Anonymous alum, Hood College improvisers & more! This 'no holds barred' night will surely be one for the books!Jiggy sits in with an array of troupes including: Basement Nation, Baltimore Improv Group (members of) and Joe Brady (formerly of 'The Flying Tongues') for hilarious sets of long & short form improv.James (Jiggy) McGarvey began his comedy training with MET's Ensemble School and has received additional actor/improv training at Second City (Chicago), Upright Citizens Brigade(NY), Washington Improv Theater, Baltimore Improv Group and has studied with Joe Bill, Mark Sutton and Asaf Ronen. In addition to being a MET ensemble member, James is a former Comedy Pigs and is part of Baltimore Improv troupes Gus and Mister Licorice, both long form based troupes. He has performed with Waiting to Be Called Over and most recently performed a two-man improv show during MET's Great Improv Bender. James has appeared on the MET stage in "A Christmas Carol," "Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, "Macbeth", " "Lilly and the Purple Plastic Purse" and "Free to Be You and Me."
