KT Sullivan Comes To Theater Cabaret at CENTERSTAGE 9/16-19

Five fabulous artists-familiar faces and Broadway headliners-will fill the intimate Head Theater Cabaret at CENTERSTAGE with a wide array of musical styles this season. Kicking off the Cabaret Series-and the first performance of the 2010-11 Season-is legendary performer KT Sullivan, September 16 through 19.

KT Sullivan's performances evoke words like classic, comical, theatrical, and sensational. Her new show, Colored Lights, tracks the hilarious story of a singer's ups and downs from the sticks to Broadway. Ms. Sullivan has appeared in Broadway and touring productions of The Three Penny Opera (with Sting), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Annie Get Your Gun, and was featured in the workshop of Easter Parade with Tommy Tune. She is the recipient of the Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs' Outstanding Female Vocalist Award, an annual headliner at the Oak Room in New York, and has appeared at the Kennedy Center, the Humanities Festival in Chicago, Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, and The Spoleto Festival.

The 2010-11 Cabaret Series also includes:

Euan Morton, Oct 14-17. A Tony Award nominee for Boy George's Broadway musical, Taboo, Euan scored thunderous applause nightly in last year's first Cabaret Series. The spirited crooner's set included everything from show tunes to Joni Mitchell to original melodies.

Charlotte Cohn, Feb 24-27, in Simply Complicated: The Elegant Escapades of a Danish-Israeli Opera-Singing Tank Commander. Charlotte Cohn, a standout in The Murder of Isaac and The Boys from Syracuse at CENTERSTAGE, is best known for her brilliant work in the Tony Award-nominated Broadway production of La Bohème, directed by Baz Luhrmann.

E. Faye Butler, Mar 24-27. Perennially popular CENTERSTAGE Associate Artist E. Faye Butler returns. Her rousing performances here in Ain't Misbehavin'; Dinah Was; and Caroline, or Change have made her a Baltimore must-see.

Kingsley Leggs, May 19-22, in Fractured Love Songs. Stage veteran Kingsley Leggs stole Baltimore's heart in Two Gentlemen of Verona (and will likely do the same again this fall in The Wiz); he stole America's heart as Mister in the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical The Color Purple. Recent work also includes highly praised turns across the country in Dreamgirls and The Full Monty.
