Centrestage Selects Management Consultants for the Arts For Artistic Director Search

CENTERSTAGE has announced the selection of Management Consultants for the Arts, based in Stamford, Connecticut, to handle a national search to identify a successor for Artistic Director Irene Lewis, who will depart after 19 seasons with CENTERSTAGE at the end of the 2010-11 Season.
"This theater is one of the great leaders in the American Theater community and has a rich history of accomplishment," says Gregory Kandel of Management Consultants for the Arts. "We are honored to be asked to guide this search."CENTERSTAGE board member, Jed Dietz, who is chairing the search process, indicated that the choice was a thoughtful, enthusiastic and unanimous decision reached by the search committee. In addition to Dietz, the Search Committee will include Board President Jay Smith, Ed Bernard, Stephanie Carter, August J. Chiasera, Lynn Deering, Juliet Eurich, Jonna Lazarus, Terry Morgenthaler, Charles Noell, Harold Rojas, Donald Thoms, and Katherine Vaughns.Since 1963, CENTERSTAGE has been committed to producing and developing an eclectic repertory of challenging, bold, and thought-provoking work, representing a varied array of theatrical styles and forms, in collaboration with leading artists.
