Breakfast with Santa Returns for WOB's 2011 Christmas Season

By:

This year's Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus) at Way Off Broadway will mark the ninth installment of what has become one of, if not the most, popular events at the theatre. The first Breakfast with Santa was held in 2003 but with a twist. At Way Off Broadway, Santa is not the only North Pole resident that makes an appearance. Along with the big man in red, Mrs. Claus and the elves travel to the theatre to enjoy breakfast with guests at the event.

There will be two breakfasts for the 2011 holiday season. The first will be on Saturday morning, December 17th beginning at 8:00 a.m. with the second on Christmas Eve morning, Saturday, December 24th beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $17 per person. In the past, tickets have sold out within only a few weeks of going on sale.

Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus) was such an instantaneous success that it launched Way Off Broadway's Breakfast Series that includes breakfasts throughout the year, including the theatre's Princess and Fairytale Breakfasts.

"Breakfast with Santa is so much fun and so popular, says Deb Kiska, one of Way Off Broadway's owners and the creator of the Breakfast Series, "that as guests leave this year, they will already be asking about buying tickets for next year. There's nothing like seeing the kids' faces light up when Santa and Mrs. Claus appear."

Tickets may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (301) 662-6600. For additional information on Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus), or for details on Way Off Broadway's Christmas productions, Christmas Tidings and Frosty, or the theatre's New Year's Eve Celebration, visit www.wayoffbroadway.com.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has been a leader in the region's performing arts community since it first opened in 1995. Under the direction of the Kiska Family since 2002, Way Off Broadway has produced such productions as A Funny Thing . . . Forum, Guys & Dolls, Steel Magnolias, Oklahoma!, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, The Odd Couple, A Chorus Line, Lend Me a Tenor, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Evita, Cats, The Full Monty, South Pacific, and Hairspray, as well as the regional and/or area premieres of Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, the musical comedy The Wedding Singer, Mel Brooks' The Producers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Located along Route 40 West, the Golden Mile in Frederick, the theatre also produces a one-of-a-kind children's lunch theatre, as well as a number of special events throughout the year. www.wayoffbroadway.com
