It is not often that six Broadway performers arrive in Owings Mills, MD for a concert that is surely to be the hit of the concert season. But is actually happening, Saturday night, March 4, 2017 in a concert labeled "J Live at the Gordon featuring The Broadway Boys". This fundraising event benefits need-based scholarships for Jewish Community Center children and teens.

The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-show dessert reception and open bar featuring a selection of wines, Union Craft beers, and specialty vodka drinks.

At 8:30 p.m. there will be a live auction and performance.

So, who are these Broadway Boys?

It all began with an idea of musical theater veteran Jesse Nager, their Artistic Director. Nager had the idea of former a collection of Broadway's finest male singers and then adding elements of pop/funk/gospel and jazz to traditional showtunes.

Nager is a veteran of MAMMA MIA!, MARY POPPINS, GOOD VIBRATIONS and he recently played "Smokey Robinson" at the Hippodrome in MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. Joining Nager will be Marshall Carolan (HAIR), Nick Cartel (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR), Jamarice Daughtry (THE COLOR PURPLE), Jason McCollum (The Broadway Inspirational Voices), and Gabe Violett (SPRING AWAKENING).

The Broadway Boys have toured the country and have performed on "Americas Got Talent" and "The Today Show".

The Director is the Tony-winning star of KINKY BOOTS, Billy Porter. The Music Director is Justin Paul. You may recognize his name since he just won an Oscar for being co-lyricist for the Best Song of the Year from LA LA LAND (along with Benj Pasek). They also won a Golden Globe and are sure to be Tony-nominated for writing the music for the Broadway hit DEAR EVAN HANSEN.

The choreographer is Rachel Bress who has worked with Tony-winning choreographer Andy Blackenbueller (HAMILTON).

This is a concert which will be long-remembered.

There are limited tickets remaining and they can be purchased at www.gordoncenter.com or call 410-559-3510. The Gordon Center is located at 4506 Gwynnbrook Avenue in Owings Mills.
