AUDITIONS for LOVE! VALOR! COMPASSION! by Terrance McNally, directed by FUZZ Roark at Fells Point Corner Theatre July 17 and July 24.

Performance Dates are Sept 18 - Oct 18, 2009, Fri & Sat at 8pm, Sun at 2pm, 2 Thur performances, Oct 8 & 15, 2009. Rehearsals are expected to begin in mid July (7/20 tentative), Mon through Thur 7pm - 10pm.

Bring headshot and resume, calendar and any conflicts
between now and Oct 18th. Auditions will be reading sides from the script, and scenes with other actors. Call backs are not expected, but may be held if needed. Non-Equity - Non-paid.

Character Breakdown:
Bobby Brahms - early 20s; Gregory's boyfriend; a passion for music; blind since birth.
Ramon Fornos - early 20s; the outsider in the group; John's date for the first weekend, seduces Bobby & Arthur; young handsome virile, Hispanic dancer; self confident, overtly sexual
Buzz Hauser - mid 30s; provides the play with its most humorous and touching moments; HIV+; a somewhat stereotypical New York homosexual; ends up in a relationship with James
John Jeckyll - late 40s; is as cyncial, mean-spirited, and closed off as his twin brother is compassionate, generous and open; failed and frustrated playwright and pianist;
James Jeckyll - (John's twin) played by same actor; raised in England, separated from his brother (John). functions as the foil to John adn Buzz; brings AIDS into the midst of the gathering; ends up with Buxx.
Gregory Mitchell - early 40s; celebrated Broadway dancer and choreographer with many successes; his body is beginning to not respond as it once did; his stuttering speech is the one glaring flaw in a composed and purposeful man; Bobby's older boyfriend
Arthur Pape - late 30s -20early 40s; one of the most subtle and least defined characters; he is an accountant; Perry's partner; he and Arthur have many quarrels in the play; cheated on Perry in the distant past.
Perry Sellars - late 30s - early 40s; a lawyer; long term relationship with Arthur; the straightest of the group, mocks Buzz as "big fruit" - is presented as uptight, angry, often the narrative voice of the play,
