Susan Winer comes from a theatre family in Detroit. She has a degree in theatre and psychology from Wayne State University (the psychology is to figure out why she was majoring in theatre) and, among other more recent activities served on the board of Victory Gardens Theatre Company in Chicago. In her other life Susan is President of Stratenomics, Inc. a strategic and organizational planning firm based in Chicago as well as the Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for SmashMedia, Inc. a California based film production company.

'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde', which opened September 25th at the Northlight Theatre in suburban Chicago, is a beautifully mounted production and well worth two hours of your time. The two level set by Collete Pollard is minimalist but combined with John Horan's lighting amply support the excellent staging. Add the well placed music and period costumes and you have a beautifully crafted production that captures the mood of the storyline and the era in which the story is set.
