My name is Madeline Ho, and I am a Massachusetts native studying Public Relations and Advertising at the University of Southern California. My love for theatre began in 2017 after watching School of Rock at the Winter Garden Theatre. Ever since then, my passion for the performing arts has only grown. I aspire to work in the entertainment industry to bring that same joy and passion to other individuals. Outside of theatre and school, my New England core runs deep. I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, and playing guitar on my bedroom floor!

Nowadays, it seems like everything has been infiltrated by artificial intelligence. From medical scribing to releasing entire albums, no field of work is safe from the impending doom of AI. In a creative field such as theatre, it's a difficult line to toe with the ethics of using AI. As students, especially, the use of AI is becoming inevitable in our everyday lives. The key is to take the creative risks that AI cannot replicate.

Sitting in my dorm in Los Angeles, California, I’m feeling nothing but new, and it is the most exhilarating feeling. Until 2025 I had never understood how long a year truly was. By mid-summer, I noticed how much I had changed from the year prior and how much was going to change a year into the future. There would have been no way to predict the path that I have taken.

You’ve probably heard of the Sunday scaries, but what about the February frights? As a college student, February marks the real start to the semester. Winter break is a thing of the past, I have settled into my new schedule, and midterms are creeping in. All the while, my brain is still stuck in December, and suddenly the shortest month of the year is half gone.
