Today I am going to be live reacting to the 2020 Tony nominations.

If you know me, you know I’m a politics minor first, musical theatre major second. Growing up in DC allowed me to spread my political wings and attend protests and really develop my views and beliefs as a woman and a Democrat.

Coming back to college is a weird thing, even if we werena??t in a pandemic. There is the a?oeah wea??re back!a?? moments of adrenaline but then you quickly fall into the pace and feel like you never left.

But recently, I got a new message from an incoming NYU freshman asking me to be part of an organization she was creating called The Virtual Theatre Co.

In the middle of the group of men in suits, stood my role model, the woman I owe my everything to, the woman who changed my life. Standing a mere 8 feet away from me, was Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Navigating mental health in the middle of a pandemic is a sentence I never knew I would ever say, let alone try to do.

I miss Tisch so freaking much. I know it won't be the same in any way shape or form, but it gives me hope. In a time of unknown, it is the sliver of something concrete that I can hold onto. a??a??a??a??a??a??a??

When the time came to pick which musical I was to write about for my NYU outsider class, I combined my two classes and loves and landed on one of my favorite musicals, Parade.

Sunday should've been the 2020 Tony Awards, Broadway Christmas. The world, and Broadway, have stood still since early March. Broadway is at intermission right now, it will come back, we just need to wait.
