The cast of the Walnut Street Theatre's production of 'Grease' created a music video to pay tribute to the city of Philadelphia - the birthplace of America and home of the oldest theatre in the country - just in time for Independence Day! Directed and choreographed by Adolpho Blaire, who plays Roger in the production, the video takes viewers on a tour of some of the most famous sites in the city of Brotherly Love including Love Park, Independence Hall, the 'Rocky Steps' at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and even backstage at the 204 year old Theatre. The cast goes sightseeing and eventually dances through the streets to a disco-crazed version of 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' by Paul Jabara. The original tune, incidentally, was sung by George M. Cohan himself in 1904 at the Walnut Street Theatre in 'Little Johnny Jones' before it's opening on Broadway. Click below to watch the video!

Today's 'New Day NW' in Seattle welcomed Brandon O'Neill, Anne Allgood and Hunter Ryan Herdlicka from The 5th Avenue Thatre's Gilbert & Sullivan classic THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE. Marking the 75th anniversary of THE WIZARD OF OZ, Warner Bros. has produced a 3D remastered version of the film. Kicking off the celebration, The Wizard of Oz 3D will be presented in the immersive Imax 3D format and return to the big screen for an exclusive one-week engagement in Imax theatres across North America beginning September 20, 2013. The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) (Producing Artistic Director, Ty Jones), presents the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Artistic Associate Justin Emeka this summer in Harlem's Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Performances of the free play, which runs July 13-30 (on Tuesdays through Sunday) at 7:30 pm, are made possible by the Ford Foundation.
