Seattle Children's Theatre presents the world-premiere musical, James and the Giant Peach. Just in time for the holidays, Timothy Allen McDonald's wonderful adaptation from Roald Dahl's best seller will include original music by Tony-Award nominated lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. James and the Giant Peach runs at SCT's Charlotte Martin Theatre through January 12, 2014. SCT Artistic Director Linda Hartzell directs. BroadwayWorld has a behind-the-scenes look at the show below!

Atlantic Theater Company's ATC Uncovered is celebrating the 7th anniversary of SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway. The musical began at the Atlantic before transferring to Broadway, and stars Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher, Jr., Lauren Pritchard, Lilli Cooper, Remy Zaken and more gathered at the theater on December 2nd to talk about thriving in an intimate space, performing a 'formative' project at such an important part of their lives, and what they want to collaborate on next. Holly Madison took the stage in Las Vegas for the first time in more than a year during a special encore performance of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Harrah's Las Vegas. Performing on the 57th anniversary of the actual date that inspired the hit show, Dec. 4, 1956, Holly sang 'The Lady Loves Me' from the hit movie 'Viva Las Vegas' alongside the cast during the finale. Donning a stunning dress and period hair, Holly sang a beautiful and fun rendition of the Elvis and Ann-Margret duet that had the audience on their feet, clapping and cheering. In an attempt to prove that Washington, D.C. isn't the only town that rewards malfeasance, Center Theatre Group is celebrating Los Angelenos' wrong-doings and missteps by asking all residents to search their consciences for the worst things that they have ever done, and submit said misdeeds now through December 23 to win a package of prizes. Playwrights Horizons' critically-acclaimed score for their World Premiere production of the new musical FAR FROM HEAVEN has been preserved as an Original Cast Recording and was just released by PS Classics last month, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song. Tony Award-winning choreographer/director Matthew Bourne, along with his company New Adventures, returns to the Ahmanson Theatre with a timeless tale for all ages, 'Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty,' A Gothic Romance. Presented by Center Theatre Group and Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center, 'Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty' opened on November 21, 2013, and will run for two weeks only through December 1.
