Direct from an acclaimed run in London, the powerful Royal Court Theatreproduction of Lucy Kirkwood's astonishing new play, The Children, will make its American debut at MTC with the heralded original cast.

The critically acclaimed new Broadway musical THE BAND'S VISIT will open later this week, on November 9, 2017, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). THE BAND'S VISIT features music and lyrics by three-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek, a book by NY Drama Critics Circle, Lortel and Outer Critics Circle awards winner Itamar Moses, based on the screenplay by Eran Kolirin, and is directed by Drama Desk, Lortel, Joe A. Caius Martius Coriolanus is a fearless soldier but a reluctant leader. His ambitious mother attempts to carve him a path to political power, but he struggles to change his nature and do what is required to achieve greatness. In this new city state struggling to find its feet, where the gap between rich and poor is widening every day, Coriolanus must decide who he really is and where his allegiances lie.

Last night The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
