Michelle Monaghan is set to lead the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' latest romance novel THE BEST OF ME, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Michael Hoffman will direct for Relativity, featuring a script by Will Fetters.

There will be a 'The University of Sing Sing' Special Screening at Mercy College on March 31, 2014 in the Rotunda, Mercy Hall, Dobbs Ferry, New York. The public is welcome.

The Hasty Pudding Institute of 1770 honored acclaimed Producer David Heyman last night as the 2014 recipient of the Order of the Golden Sphinx . The annual Order of the Golden Sphinx gala was held at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. Heyman's critically acclaimed box office hit Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney received 10 Academy Award nominations and won an outstanding seven Oscars. The documentary about pop-culture icon George Takei premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival and was directed by Jennifer M. Kroot (It Came from Kuchar). The company has acquired all rights for U.S. and Canada. The company will distribute with a theatrical release planned for 2014. The announcement was made today by Kevin Kasha, Head of Acquisitions for Starz.
