A screening of the silent film, Wings, accompanied by live organ music will take place Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 7:30pm as a kick-off to the Armed Forces Parade on Monday, August 11th and the Atlantic City Airshow on Wednesday, August 13th. This event will serve a benefit to raise funds to preserve and restore both organs at Boardwalk Hall, one of which is the largest in the world.

Deadline writes that Open Road is developing SPOTLIGHT, a film centering on the Boston Globe's investigation into pedophile priests in the Catholic Church. Tom McCarthy directs from a script he co-wrote with Josh Singer (The West Wing). Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Michael Keaton, Aaron Eckhart, Liev Shreiber and Stanley Tucci are set to star.

Several Tony Award-winners teamed up to bring an adaptation of the 1988 musical LUCKY STIFF to the big screen. Starring Jason Alexander, the late Dennis Farina, Dominic Marsh, Nikki M. James, Don Amendolia, Pamela Shaw and Kate Shindle, the movie will compete in the 'Feature Film' competition of this year's Montreal World Film Festival. The audience is then invited to an outdoor reception in the beautiful courtyard of the Center's The Village at Ed Gould Plaza. The party will take place tonight, August 9, starting at 8 p.m.

(CMCSA) and EuropaCorp announced that Lucy, the new thriller from acclaimed filmmaker Luc Besson that stars Scarlett Johansson and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive Imax format and released into Imax theatres in select international territories starting today, August 8.

Today the Festival announced a call for submissions for narrative features, documentary features, short film entries and transmedia projects. Warner Bros just announced it has moved up its BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE release date by two months to March 25, 2016. The original date -- May 6 -- had the film pitted against Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA 3.
