This year, Bootless Stageworks is using its new home at St. Stephen's Church on Broom Street to re-present shows they had performed in earlier venues. In case you are unfamiliar with it, 'next to normal' is about a suburban family dealing with the effects of mental illness, told through a largely rock score of almost operatic proportions. The show was awarded the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

What can I say about the Clear Space production of 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'? Go see it! That's my recommendation and it would be my review, but they don't pay me to be succinct. They don't pay me by the word, either.

'The Story of My Life' is a warm, funny, touching reminder of the true value that a special friendship can have, and the unfortunate ease with which we can, and so often do, allow it to fade away. It will entertain and amuse you, but you might well leave the theater as I did - reviewing the texture of half-forgotten relationships.

What the cast of Hallelujah Girls brought to its audience is FUN.

Lend Me a Tenor at Delaware Theatre Company is, in all the best senses, a complete farce. The pacing, energy, and confusion are all there, and the director and cast have raised it to its full comedic potential. Find the time to let them tickle every funny bone you have.
