Theater Latte Da announced today they will produce Company, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by George Furth, this fall at the Ordway Center's McKnight Theatre. Company will preview October 25 and October 26, open on October 27, and run through November 18, 2012.

Slatkin continues the classical week, leading the LA Phil in a program showcasing Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3, Thursday, July 12, at 8 pm.

The Chicago Commercial Collective has announced the return of the Chicago and Broadway hit drama, A Steady Rain, with its original cast and crew to the Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. The production, written by Keith Huff and directed by original director Russ Tutterow, runs Saturday, July 7 - Sunday, Sept. 2. Previews are July 7 at 8 p.m. and July 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. Opening/Press night is Tuesday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. The regular run is Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are $40 (preview tickets are $35) and may be purchased online at www.asteadyrainchicago.com. Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the fourteenth annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and with additional sponsorship by the New York Times, the event will take place on Saturday, July 14 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m.
