The Dramatists Guild Fund has announced this year's Madge Evans and Sidney Kingsley Award to actress Linda Lavin and playwright Lynn Nottage. The awards will be presented by Dramatists Guild Fund Board Member Terrence McNally on Monday, February 25, 2013 at an intimate salon with award-winning composer Charles Strouse. The event will also include remarks by Jeffrey Lyons, godson of Sidney Kingsley, and will be held at the home of lyricist and playwright Gretchen Cryer.

Beginning Friday, The Duplex welcomes Carly Sakolove in an open-ended engagement of her one-woman show, I HEAR VOICES. In addition to Carly, a surprise guest "Diva" will be performing to celebrate the opening. As of February 22, audiences can enjoy Sakolove's critically acclaimed "Broadway Diva" impressions on the last Friday of each month. The show, written by Sakolove and Tony Award nominee Bill Russell has previously played sold-out engagements at The Duplex and Joe's Pub.

LuluBelle Productions is set to present the world premiere of Alabama Baggage, a new drama written by Buddy Farmer, and directed by Paul Messinger, at Theatre Asylum in Hollywood. There will be one preview on Friday, March 8, and opening is Saturday, March 9 at 8pm, and Alabama Baggage will play a six-week engagement through April 14 only.

The producers of the Tony-winning hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick has extended his run in the production and will now perform through June 15th. His co-star four-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara will play her final performance on March 31st. Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller will join the show in the role of 'Billie Bendix' on April 2nd.

The Milkshake Trio, the groundbreaking band for kids and grownups, celebrating the release of their fifth CD, Got a Minute?, is performing a family concert on Sunday, March 3 at 2:00 pm at The Jewish Museum. In this show for kids ages 2 to 7, the band will play old favorites like 'Baseball' (where the trio plays a mini-ball game with the audience), 'Fingers & Toes' (in which band member Michael 'Shepp' Sheppard tries out his French), and 'Bottle of Sunshine' (featuring the Milkshake Bottle of Sunshine), along with an array of new songs from Got a Minute? Known for an energetic pop-rock style, the Milkshake Trio's musical influences range from Julie Andrews and The Beatles to The White Stripes and Bo Diddley. The trio also includes the founders of Milkshake, Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl.

Elements Theatre Company of Orleans, Mass., will explore the ways in which our culture and relationships have changed over the past 30 years by presenting and discussing A. R. Gurney's Pulitzer-nominated play, The Dining Room, at Nyack College (Nyack and Manhattan campuses) March 4-7, 2013. As part of its annual educational tour, Elements will perform Gurney's comedy of upper-middle class American manners plus conduct talk-backs, workshops, and a panel discussion designed to examine the relevance of theater and art in today's society.

TSMB fuses island, reggae, acoustic, and rock genres into one complete sound, and will perform covers and original works, while also raising funds for two deserving Bay Area organizations; San Leandro Relay For Life (2/22) and the Bay Area Fight Academy (2/23).
