New Brisbane contemporary company Casus will bring their 'breathtaking and fragile display of skills' to The Famous Spiegeltent for a two-week season from Tuesday March 5. The troupe will lift each other up by the jaw alone, create four person towers and use an egg to demonstrate their careful artistry showcasing the incredible strength and fragility of the human body.

From the producer of An Irish Christmas comes this Irish Hooley ("boisterous party")-pipes, flutes, harp, fiddle, bodhrans, dancing, singing, and storytelling-featuring the seven-piece band Slugger O'Toole and members of the superb Kerry Dance team, which includes dancers from Lord of the Dance, Riverdance and more. A second performance at 4 pm has been added to accommodate demand for this lively show.

Kimiye Corwin and Anderson Matthews will headline Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' production of 'Twelfth Night' May 24 through June 16 at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. Both Corwin and Matthews were last seen in SFSTL's production of 'Hamlet' as Ophelia and Polonius, respectively, in 2010. Preview performances are scheduled for May 22-23. 'Breaking Surface' is an acrobatic aerial dance theater work staged in and over a thirty-by-twenty five foot shallow pool of water. It will be presented March 19 to 23 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street) by AiRealistic, an aerial theater company that was 'born out of a love of physical expression and an incessant urge to take wing.' It is performed by an ensemble of seven dancer/performers.

The iStar Theatre Lab dropped the news today that they will be leading off their 2013 season with an original work starring George Hamilton, with book by his brother David Hamilton, with the working title The George Hamilton Project. The work encompasses the remarkable life and times of the world-famous 'Tan Man', actor George Hamilton. Supervised by Tony Spinosa, Producing Artistic Director, Laura Bultman, Managing Director with Jo-Ann Bethel, Associate Producer, iStar's hands-on development commences on May 13th. The Lab will take place in New York City and will conclude with a private presentation on June 1st.

Longtime LGBT rights advocate Urvashi Vaid will be in Chicago Wed., April 3 for a free event at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted. She will discuss and sign copies of her new book, Irresistible Revolution: Confronting Race, Class, and the Assumptions of LGBT Politics. This is her only public program in Chicago.
