Uncouth business dealings and political shenanigans enliven the stage at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre as The Yardley Players present the political tale "Born Yesterday." Dates and times are Fridays, Sept. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sept. 22 and 29 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Sept. 23 and 30 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on Sept. 21.

Award winning director, Andrew Keates will be departing Clapham's Landor Theatre, leaving the post of their theatre manager and artistic consultant. He will be developing newly formed and innovative theatre production company Arion Productions Ltd as its artistic director and founder as well as directing upcoming productions of Martin Sherman's ground-breaking play Passing By at the Finborough Theatre this September and returning to the Landor as a director for the world premiere of A Winter's Tale by Howard Goodall and Nick Stimson and developed by Keates in November 2012.

Dance New Amsterdam (DNA), NYC's foremost progressive dance education center and performance space, champions experimentation in its rowdy LateNite series, a triannual portion of the DNA PRESENTS season, which gives a voice to artists working within the mediums of performance art, burlesque and experimental theater. The season's first installment, IT'S LIKE WE ARE INFILTRATORS, PART II, is a multi-disciplinary and installation-based evening curated and conceived by Neal Medlyn. The performances on October 5-6 will also feature his original music, both live and recorded.Each hour-long performance begins at 10:00 p.m.

Following hard on the heels of a successful revival of Dario Fo's Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Strawberry Theatre Workshop continues what's being described as 'a season of agitation and propaganda' with a second company classic, This Land | Woody Guthrie, a play for actors and puppets derived from the music, drawing, and writing of folk artist Woody Guthrie. Strawshop's 2004 production of This Land was the first show in the company's history.

Gotham Early Music Scene (GEMS), an organization that enriches public understanding and appreciation of early music in New York City, has played a major role in revitalizing the early music community since its founding in 2007. GEMS will be celebrating its milestone fifth anniversary this October through January, beginning with a gala concert and reception on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, 2 West 64th Street, in Manhattan. Tickets are $40 for the concert alone, or $125 for the concert and reception.
