The Houston Symphony will visit their favorite summertime performance spot, Miller Outdoor Theatre, for a FREE fall concert on Saturday, October 13. Presented by the Mexican Institute of Greater Houston, Lunada is an annual concert that celebrates the sounds and energy of Latin American music. Guest Conductor Brett Mitchell will lead the orchestra through this vibrant celebration with music, which includes Bernstein's Overture to West Side Story, Chabrier's España and Debussy's Iberia from Images.

The first new Broadway production of Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical EVITA since its premiere over 30 years ago stars Grammy-winning international pop icon Ricky Martin as Che, Olivier Award-winning Argentinean actress Elena Roger making her Broadway debut as Eva Peron and Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris as Juan Peron. Academy Award-winning composer John Williams and Academy Award-winning director and producer Steven Spielberg will join the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for "An Evening with John Williams, Steven Spielberg and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra" on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. Mr. Williams will conduct the Orchestra in selections from his most popular original film compositions while selected movie clips are shown on a giant screen. Mr. Spielberg will host the second half of the concert and will supplement the musical program with anecdotes and insight into the featured films.

Westport Country Playhouse will present two Script in Hand play readings this autumn with the family comedy, "Over the River and Through the Woods" by Joe DiPietro, on Monday, November 12, 7 p.m., and the romantic comedy, "The Philadelphia Story" by Philip Barry, on Monday, December 10, 7 p.m. Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor, will direct both readings. Casting will be announced soon.

Green Mountain Energy Company is pleased to announce that Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts will become the first performing arts center in New York City to be powered by 100% wind energy. The wind energy to support Lincoln Center will be purchased by Green Mountain in the form of renewable energy certificates (RECs). This purchase compliments the completion of Lincoln Center's recent $1.2 billion transformation, which includes a new U.S. Green Building Council LEED® Gold certified building, the David Rubenstein Atrium. "Our ambitious transformation to make Lincoln Center more open and accessible involves not only updating our world-class facilities, but also significantly developing our public spaces, and maximizing efficiency for the campus," said Tim Hassett, Lincoln Center's Vice President for Concert Halls & Operations. "Sustainability is important to Lincoln Center artists, students, and visitors, as well as our staff."

Picture will shoot on location in Crete, Athens, Istanbul and Ealing Studios London. Working Title will produce and STUDIOCANAL finance, distributing in the U.K., Germany, France & Australia, selling the rest of the world.

New York City Department for the Aging Commissioner Lilliam Barrios-Paoli and Cultural Affairs Commissioner Kate D. Levin today announced that the Department for the Aging (DFTA) will provide $200,000 in funding to support a second year of SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide, a community arts engagement program that places artists in residence at senior centers across the five boroughs. The new funding will allow the City to build on the success of the 2012 SPARC program, which was supported, in part, by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. During the 2012 program, 50 artists delivered more than 2,000 contact hours of arts programming to hundreds of senior participants at 44 senior centers. Artist residencies for the 2013 SPARC program will take place in select senior centers from January through June 2013.

The show will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood and will feature performances by Tichina Arnold (Everyone Hates Chris) and Shoshana Bean (Wicked).

Paola Antonelli, The Museum of Modern Art's Senior Curator of Architecture and Design, has been named Director of Research and Development, effective immediately, it was announced today by MoMA Director Glenn D. Lowry. Dividing her responsibilities equally between the Department of Architecture and Design and Research and Development, Ms. Antonelli's new assignment will provide the Museum with information and critical tools to evaluate new initiatives and identify new directions and unexplored opportunities, particularly in the digital realm.

United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, doubled in size in the past three years. During the upcoming six?week run between October 11 and November 18, a variety of one hundred solo shows will perform at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in New York. Performers come from all over the world, bringing stories in which they explore global and local issues, address universal dilemmas, and adapt classical literature in shows like "Medea's Got Some Issues," "The Picture of Dorian Gray," and "Vonnegut, Vonnegut."

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, has announced two new productions which will open in 2013: Luck of the Irish, a new play by Kirsten Greenidge, to be directed by Rebecca Taichman and A Kid Like Jake by Daniel Pearle, to be directed by Evan Cabnet. Luck of the Irish will run from Monday, January 28 through Sunday, March 10 (opening on Monday, February 11) and A Kid Like Jake will run from Sunday, June 2 through Sunday, July 14 (opening on Monday, June 17), both at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

As previously reported, the Broadway production of REBECCA, which was to open this fall, has been delayed indefinitely and is now at the center of an investigation to determine if any criminal wrongdoing occured in the show's long road to Broadway.

Previews begin tomorrow night for Roundabout Underground's production of Bad Jews, a new play by Joshua Harmon, directed by Daniel Aukin. Bad Jews features Tracee Chimo (Daphna), Philip Ettinger (Jonah), Molly Ranson (Melody) and Michael Zegen (Liam).
