Mark Nelson and Jenny Bacon Join MY NAME IS ASHER LEV at the Westside Theatre

Based on the best selling novel by the author of The Chosen, My Name is Asher Lev, a new play by Aaron Posner, begins performances at the Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street) on November 8, and opening night is set for November 28. Mark Nelson and Jenny Bacon have joined the cast as Asher Lev's parents, Aryeh and Rivkeh.

Graham Nash has helped shape the world around him through ideas, innovations, and influential works of art for more than four decades. A legendary singer-songwriter, Nash is also an internationally renowned photographer and digital imaging pioneer whose work is represented-by a classic 1969 portrait of David Crosby-in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. The Art of Graham Nash, an exhibition featuring a broad range of Nash's works, opens at New York City's ACA Galleries on October 11. The gallery will host an artist's reception on Thursday, October 18 from 5-8 pm. The show-comprising 50 of Nash's photographic images, several politically themed photo assemblages and original pastel pieces-runs through October 27. La MaMa E.T.C. presents the World Premiere of Triple Shadow's new theater production, 2 FROM THE SEA, composed of two solo adaptations of plays whose themes are based on stories of the sea: Holiday Memory by Dylan Thomas, performed by Seamus Maynard, and Riders to the Sea by John Millington Synge, performed by Mari Andrejco. Both are directed by Beth Skinner and feature live music composed and performed by Edward Herbst. Lighting design is by Bessie and Drama Desk-winner Paul Clay (RENT), and scenic design is by Obie Award-winner Jun Maeda. The three-week season runs October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C., 74 East 4th Street, NYC.
