On Friday, December 7, 2012 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Cole Sternberg along with Flaunt Magazine and Primary Projects present a conceptual performance, gestural painted photographs and works on canvas and linen.

On Saturday, December 15th, The Police Athletic League (PAL), the city's largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization, and CitySights NY, the leader in New York City tours, sightseeing, and attractions, will team up to host many hundreds of boys and girls, ages five to seven, from all five boroughs at a festive holiday party filled with arts and crafts, board games, face painting, inflatable rides, and holiday treats. American Theater Company announces the world premiere of the revised version of columbinus, written by Stephen Karam and PJ Paparelli, with dramaturgy by Patricia Hersch, and conceived and directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli. The 2013 production will premiere a revised second act devised from recent interviews with survivors, families of victims and residents of Littleton. The new material includes never-before-released information on the shooters and their families and first-hand accounts of both the Columbine and Aurora shootings. columbinus will run February 1 - March 10, 2013, at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago, IL. Press opening is Wednesday, February 6, at 7:00 pm.

Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, one of the region's premier outdoor entertainment venues, which has been closed since 2009, is set to open to the public on June 1, 2013. The Second City has announced the Musical and Special Guest line-up for this year's "The Second City That Never Sleeps: Letters to Santa," a 24-hour benefit marathon of improvisational and music fun on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 6:00pm in The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (1608 N. Wells, 2nd Floor of Piper's Alley) through Wednesday, December 19 at 6:00pm. Proceeds benefit families from Chicago's Onward Neighborhood House.
