Due to overwhelming demand, Off-Broadway's newest hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER today put a new block of seats on sale through March 30th. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER opened on October 17th to rave reviews at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) announced today that Matt Lauria (NBC's "Friday Night Lights" & "Parenthood"), Zosia Mamet (HBO's "Girls", AMC's "Mad Men"), Lauren Culpepper (Signature's Really Really), David Hull (Broadway's Wicked & How to Succeed…), Evan Jonigkeit (Broadway's High with Kathleen Turner), Kobi Libii (Off-Broadway's CQ/CX), and Aleque Reid (Hair 1st National Tour) will star in the New York premiere production of Really Really by Paul Downs Colaizzo. The production, which marks Colaizzo's New York playwriting debut, is directed by David Cromer, the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes. Performances of Really Really begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on January 31, 2013 and continue through March 10, 2013. An official opening is set for Tuesday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets now on sale for Cirque Eloize iD, directed by Jeannot Painchaud and winner of the 26th Grand Prix du Conseil des Arts de Montréal for its exceptional international success in 2010. iD will run for eight shows at the Merriam Theatre from December 26th to 30th, 2012 as part of the Broadway Season, presented by the Kimmel Center and the Shubert Organization.

The Jewish Museum will present Kids Flix Mix, a program of eleven recent animated short films for kids, on Thursday and Friday, December 27 and 28 at 11:30 am. An array of traditional, CGI and collage animation styles in films from around the world will be shown. Kids Flix Mix is produced in collaboration with the New York International Children's Film Festival.

Scott Johnson, a New York City comedian and University of Kansas alumnus, returns to his hometown Lawrence, Kansas, for a special one night only performance at the historic Liberty Hall. Liberty Hall has hosted many legends over the years such as Iggy Pop and Morrissey and Johnson will soon join those ranks. Johnson headlines his own hilarious comedy special, appropriately entitled, The Prodigal Son Returns. The show is comprised of stand-up, sketch, and improvisation. Johnson will be joined onstage by fellow New York City comedian and friend, Mark Stetson.

Cutting Ball Theater continues its 14th season with the adventurous RISK IS THIS…THE CUTTING BALL NEW EXPERIMENTAL PLAYS FESTIVAL, one of the only play festivals in America solely dedicated to experimental works for the stage. Pushing the boundaries of what theater can be, this year's festival features three new works and two new "Risk Translations" in staged readings. Like the 2012 edition, which featured five new "Risk Translations" of August Strindberg's Chamber Plays, which were performed this fall as part of the main stage season as Strindberg Cycle: The Chamber Plays in Rep, this year's festival offers a unique opportunity to see plays in development, alongside the artists creating them, as the works find their theatrical voice.

Zubin Mehta returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his music directorship with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Thursday, December 13, at 8 pm, Friday, December 14, at 11 am, Saturday, December 15, at 8 pm and Sunday, December 16, at 2 pm.
