Later this month on Thursday, January 24, Broadway's Palace Theatre will be visited by thousands of NYC public school students as the Great White Way's leading arts education not-for-profit Inside Broadway partners with the Broadway revival of Annie to offer two exclusive ‘Creating the Magic' events. Taking place at 10:45am and 1:15pm, the programs are being presented for free to over 2,500 New York City public school students as they get a behind the scenes look at the magical world of Broadway and learn about all the career opportunities in the theater.

Keenan-Bolger, who performed with the show from its 2009 debut at La Jolla Playhouse and earned a 2012 Tony nomination for her performance, departed the show on December 30. See the curtain call below!

Marsha Stephanie Blake, Eisa Davis, Dashiell Eaves, Frank Harts, Robert Hogan, Jenny O'Hara, Carra Patterson, Amanda Quaid and Victor Williams will be featured in the LCT3 production of Kirsten Greenidge's LUCK OF THE IRISH, directed by Rebecca Taichman. LUCK OF THE IRISH begins performances Monday, January 28 and opens on Monday, February 11 for a six- week limited engagement through Sunday, March 10 at the Claire Tow Theater, LCT3's new home atop the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street).

The World Famous Platters Revue will perform the greatest hits of The Platters, who had 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in the 1950's and 1960's, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, on Monday, February 4 at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 5 at 1:30 p.m. The World Famous Platters Revue pays tribute to one of the world's most successful vocal groups since the introduction of the classic "Doo-Wop" sound of the 1950's.

Generations of audiences - more than 60 million people from 68 countries - have seen Lord of the Dance created by Michael Flatley, the world's highest grossing Irish dance show. Presented by MagicSpace Entertainment and Global Entertainment Group, Lord of the Dance returns to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce a final one-week extension for THE PIANO LESSON by August Wilson, which has already been named to Best of 2012 lists by The New York Times, The New Yorker and Time Out New York. The production, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson, was originally scheduled to conclude its run on December 9 and already extended three times through January 13. It will now play through Sunday, January 20. The production opened on Sunday, November 18 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues) to critical praise. Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.

On Sunday, January 6 between 8 PM-12 midnight The Big Broadcast celebrates forty years on WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org). Host Rich Conaty will mark the occasion by airing excerpts of an historic interview with Connie Boswell of the Boswell Sisters which hasn't been heard since 1974.

Participants will learn how these sorcerers of the sewing needle get their inspiration and experience, about their most challenging projects and worst disasters, what it is like working with actors, and more.

Abby Shue, Associate Director of the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, has been awarded a fellowship from the International Society of Performing Artists (ISPA), and will attend the ISPA Congress at the Julliard School in New York City in January. Only 75 fellowships have been awarded since 2007, and it provides Abby with the opportunity to engage with leaders from some of the world's most significant presenting organizations, performing arts centers, artist management agencies, and other related professionals.

A selection of thirteen rarely seen prints by German Expressionist artist Käthe Kollwitz (1867-1945) will be on view in the Herstory Gallery of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art from March 15 through September 15, 2013. The first complete Brooklyn Museum presentation of the artist's powerful print cycle War (Krieg), Käthe Kollwitz Prints will focus on works relating to the impact of war that the artist created between World War I, when her son was killed in Flanders, and World War II.

The Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University will present the New York City premiere of My Coma Dreams at the Miller Theatre on the Columbia University campus for two performances on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Based on the personal experience of pianist/composer Fred Hersch, who survived a two-month medically induced coma, My Coma Dreams is an extraordinary jazz theater piece that explores the dividing line between life and death. The New Republic's David Hajdu called the piece 'serious, profoundly moving and sometimes disturbing, a work of dream art as elegant as Stravinsky's 'Petit Concert' and as memorable as 'Yesterday.'
