Internationally acclaimed performance artist Tim Miller, will present his solo stage production GLORY BOX at The Alexander Theatre, Monash University, on Friday March 22.

On Wednesday 9 January 2013, the nominations for the EE British Academy Film Awards will be announced at BAFTA HQ in London's Piccadilly.

Paul Robinson has announced the full cast for his first production as sole Artistic Director of Battersea's Theatre503. Tony Award-winning actress Brid Brennan will star in Desolate Heaven, the world premiere by Irish writer Ailís Ní Ríain. She is joined by Evelyn Lockley and Carla Langley, who both make their professional debuts in this love story between two young girls, who burdened with unnatural responsibilities, run away together. It will run at Theatre503, above the Latchmere Pub in Battersea, from 5 February to 2 March 2013.

For the third time in its engagement, the North American tour of Disney's THE LION KING broke the SHN Orpheum Theatre box office record for the highest grossing week of a Broadway engagement. The award-winning musical grossed $2,101,332.00 for nine performances the week ending January 6, playing to 100% capacity. The touring production of THE LION KING recently set two SHN Orpheum Theatre records when it grossed $2,100,980.00 for nine performances the week ending December 30, 2012 and $1,674,059 for eight performances the week ending November 25, 2012. Prior to this engagement, the SHN Orpheum Theatre house record had not been broken since January 30, 2010.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California premiere of The Brothers Size by award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Directed by Tea Alagi?, The Brothers Size will run Jan. 26 - Feb. 24, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Jan. 26 - Jan. 30. This February, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center faces its own British invasion. Widely regarded as one of the most talented virtuoso pianists performing today, Yefim Bronfman performs at Emory's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. In this solo recital, Bronfman will perform Arabeske in C Major, op. 18 by Robert Schumann; Sonata No. 3 in F Minor, op. 5 by Johannes Brahms; Sergey Prokofiev's Sonata No. 8 in B-flat Major, op. 84; and Sisar (New Work) by Esa-Pekka Salonen.

HT Presents (Heidi Grumelot, Artistic Director, Erez Ziv, Executive Director) will present THEATER IN ASYLUM's (TIA) World Premiere production of ¡Olé!, conceived and directed by Paul Bedard, using text from poems, letters, and other works by Salvador Dalí and Federico Garcia Lorca. The production will feature Jake Lasser, Sofia Lund, and Ben Otto with an Original Score by Randall Benichak, Costume Design by Karli Brae, Dramaturgy by Samantha Keogh and Jake Lasser, Choreography by Katie Palmer, Scenic Design by Walter Ryon, and Lighting Design by Dan Stearns. The production will be Stage Managed by Kelly Colburn and Produced by Kathryn Appleton.

P. H. Lin's new drama, Zelda at the Oasis, currently in an open-ended run at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, (west of 8th Avenue), announced a change in the performance schedule for the week of January 7th, 2013 only.

Seattle Shakespeare Company will present a revival of its popular trailer park The Taming of the Shrew at the Playhouse at Seattle Center, April 25 through May 12, 2013. Many of the cast members from the original production will reprise their roles including Kelly Kitchens as Kate and David Quicksall as Petruchio. Directed by Aimée Bruneau, the production will also serve as a launch to the 20th Anniversary celebration of Wooden O in the summer of 2013.

Hackmatack Playhouse producer Michael Guptill has announced the 2013 (42nd year) show schedule for this summer. According to Guptill, "We hope you plan to join us this summer. We have "The Hound of the Baskervilles, "The Sound of Music," "Les Miserables," and "Driving Miss Daisy."

Koch (US, 2012, 95 min.) will receive its New York City premiere at the New York Jewish Film Festival at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater on Thursday, January 10 at 6 pm and Sunday, January 13 at 3:30 pm. Ed Koch and Neil Barsky, director of the film, will participate in a Q&A session following the January 13 screening. The 22nd annual New York Jewish Film Festival, presented by The Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center from January 9 to 24, 2013, includes 45 features and shorts from 9 countries.

First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83) presents the witty comedy JEEVES TAKES A BOW, previewing January 30; opening Saturday, February 2 at 8 p.m.; and running through March 3. Directed by Jeff Award nominee Alison C. Vesely (First Folio's A Moon for the Misbegotten), the cast of First Folio's 2009 production Jeeves in Bloom will reprise their roles in JEEVES TAKES A BOW, starring Jim McCance as "Jeeves" and Christian Gray (The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe and Romeo & Juliet at First Folio Theatre, The Glass Menagerie at Oak Park Festival Theatre) as "Bertie."

Rover Dramawerks will present Something's Afoot at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Avenue in Plano. Performances are January 24 through February 9, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Pursuant to Road Less Traveled Production's (RLTP's) mission to engage a new and youthful audience in the Western New York (WNY) theatergoing community and in connection with its ongoing Education Initiative, RLTP today announced the launch of The RLTP Summer Institute, a unique summer program for young people interested in exploring and developing abilities as theatre artists.
